Documents

Every traveller, including an infant, needs their own mainland travel document. If a child’s permit is expired, you do not “talk your way through Futian.” You stay on the Hong Kong side or you sort the paper first. Same if you lose one mid-trip — see lost permit.

Which crossing with a pram

Futian (Lok Ma Chau Spur Line) and Lo Wu are rail halls: lifts exist, crowds do too. Shenzhen Bay is a joint checkpoint and often kinder on space if you are already on a coach. Heung Yuen Wai is quieter and newer. Huanggang is the night option and a bus story. Hours belong to ImmD, not to a parenting forum.
